Award-winning creative director and cross platform storyteller making premium broadcast, commercial and editorial content.
Recent films include the drama-doc feature Jago: A Life Underwater – the life story of an 80-year old Indonesian sea nomad and free-diving hunter, which won numerous festival awards and is currently airing on Netflix.
Seven, my first short fiction film (producer), was shot in the Lofoten Islands, 50 miles inside the Arctic Circle. It has screened at major festivals and won a number of best film awards. I also worked on the flagship National Geographic Channel series One Strange Rock.
Commercial productions include branded documentary films for Facebook, a short documentary about the evolution of feet & footwear for Vivo Barefoot, a series of TVCs for Celebrity Cruises and two music videos for Top 10 singer/songwriter Nick Mulvey, shot in Sumba, Indonesia and Socotra, Yemen.
My editorial clients include The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Nat Geo, Red Bull and Conde Nast Traveller. I write a regular blog for The Guardian telling stories from southeast Asia’s Coral Triangle bioregion – the global epicentre of marine biodiversity. I also set up the Coral Triangle, an online platform funded by the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), which combines features, photo essays and videos with a travel listing of eco-minded tourism products.
I love to work with forward thinking companies, media brands, NGO’s and social enterprises that want to develop and disseminate powerful visual narratives and cross platform content.
